Skills Development & Experimentation

Yoni Alter

We had to create a Yoni Alter style city with Images that are related to London, I used the London eye , Tower Bridge, The Shard, Big Ben and a telephone box, First time i'm doing this and it was alright to make it was kind of easy,
We used Photoshop to create it what i really wanted to create and will create its the image below, From up close you can see the whole images very blurry, Also i would like to improve it much on the next experimentation.

This is one of Yoni Alters art, This is what inspired me however we just had to start off by practising doing it as its my first time creating something like this which to my opinion doesn't look to its best, Also we had the option to go in detail like in Yoni Alters he has the lines on The London Eye, Big Ben... which would take time but it would look more professional and way better.
I guess i should of chosen more stuff that are related to London like Buses that are a very big part of representing London.

I really like his work because it brings a happy feeling a good vibe when looking at it because hes using a lot of different colours that are happy and bright which brings the mood up, instead of using simple colours like black and white this brings a more happy feeling and its enjoyable to look at,

This is the Still images in Premiere Pro on
The Evolution of Joker.

https://youtu.be/RC7XMlaO3Zg

I decided to make a still image video on the Evolution of Joker as i think in the past years the "Character" joker has went down from what it was before the "Clown joker"
This was easy to make in my opinion as i know how to use Premiere Pro and i'm familiar with the software, First things first i searched the Evolution of Joker Movies and Tv shows where i got my information and images that i used in that video,
First i decided to keep them short around 5-7 seconds each image starting from Movies of Joker from 1966 up towards 2019, Then i made a simple text transition saying TV shows from again from the oldest 1966-2020, After i finished the whole editing part i went in and got a Joker theme song that was played throughout the whole video,
However what i really wanted to do was to get for that 5-7 seconds of the video a simple 5-7 song theme from every TV show and Movies that will give it a better feel of each show and movie however i didn't have much time to do that so i stuck with only one simple theme song.
But i am very happy how it turned out,

I wanted to add some simple transitions to this when changing from one to another scene but i decided to keep it simple and clean because its supposed to be a presentation of stills, However i thing that this went pretty good as there's some info about each character, what i really wanted to add to each part of the play was to make each section around 5-10 seconds long and then add the specific song of the play like each joker song that was played in the movie or tv shows throughout the whole video but i didnt have time to do that so i decided to use the most known joker song playing throughout the whole video.

InDesign London Promotional Leaflet

For this we were asked to make a Leaflet for London tourism promotion, i didn't use InDesign for this but i used a website where my teacher directed me towards. lucidpress.com, This website is free where it has somewhere the same features as InDesign, i dont really like using InDesign but it was useful because from past help from my teachers it helped and i knew what to do, I found this really easy to use because it gives you good instructions and steps to follow for new ones that dont know how to use it, I really like how this turned out as it the colour combinations are suitable, also this is just a practice but there are some parts where i want to improve from looking at it now, first it would be the text the white text looks nice however its really hard to read, also the margins in the middle they can be covered with the images from each side so its not looking that bold, but i really liked using the website as a said it was really useful and easy to use.
                                                         Animation

This is the first time i'm using Adobe Animate to create
a moving image (GIF) related to my FMP, Because we have to do something related to London i decided to get the two famous things that have been around for a very long time, Big Ben and a Old Bus, i am happy how its came out as its the first time using Animate as i found it really easy and useful,

First this Animate software reminded me a little bit of Premiere Pro and After Effects for settings up key frames when every you want the bus to move, In this i decided to move the bus every .5 seconds in a circular motion around the clock. I also wanted to make the clock spin around at the same time as the bus but that's for future projects if im going to continue with this or create a new one as its an experiment,
First we had to find a good image that will fit the preset screen if not in my case i had to scale down the image as on the right these a the side bar where i you can see the image didn't fit as wanted but it can out good and a good quality,
What i found difficult was having to create another Layer but get the bus image to be a specific file format for it to be a GIF, After that creating a new layer and putting the bus layer on that was easy because the image of the Big Ben was locked in position that couldn't be moved whenever you move the bus in what direction you want,

i feel like this went very well for my first time using Adobe Animate i think it was really easy to use,  some improvements i would like to do for this is to make the image move more as in the image there are two different clocks i wanted to make both of them spinning in the opposite direction of the bus and then on the right side make the same animation that is on the front.

Looking at this simple leaflet I would say that it caught my eye attention without having to read any titles or lines from it, The colour combination is also attractive, its not to small not to big where people would be happy with it, Also they have their socials at the bottom of the leaflet so you can do a quick research of what the place and thing is about,

At the back of it there’s 3 different texts, WHO ARE WE? , HOW TO JOIN, (a producer and a performer) it’s simply white text on a plain black background with BOLD for each title,

In my opinion its got my eye attention without looking what’s its about so I think it is very effective.
